Lived Experience & Peer Led Collective
Soul Shine Collective is a non-hierarchical, community-rooted initiative founded by people with lived experience. We exist to create compassionate, empowering spaces that foster emotional connection, self-awareness, and collective healing. At the core of our work is the belief that everyone has something to teach and something to learn, and that real transformation happens through shared stories, honesty, and identification not hierarchy or shame.
Founded by Banana and Sandie, Soul Shine was born out of a shared vision to challenge traditional service models that often isolate and pathologize people. Instead, we offer spaces grounded in equality, empathy, and authenticity, where individuals are welcomed not because of a particular issue or condition, but simply because they are human.
We support people facing addiction, mental health challenges, trauma, loneliness, neurodivergence and emotional overwhelm with a strong emphasis on lived experience, peer connection. Our approach rejects outdated notions of "professional distance" and embraces human-to-human support, where storytelling, vulnerability, and mutual respect are the foundations for healing.
Through group spaces like Soul Shine Feelings, we help individuals explore their emotions, connect with their inner strength, and move beyond shame and isolation. We believe in the power of community, and we see the courage in every person's story. We also recognise the deeper roots of struggles like addiction and codependency including trauma, fear, and low self-worth and create safe spaces to explore and heal those wounds.
At Soul Shine Collective, we are not here to fix people we are here to walk alongside them, in solidarity. We bridge the gap between clients/service users/patients and professionals, offering a space to empower and break the divide. Our mission is to help each person find their light and our vision is a world where people feel seen, supported, equal and empowered to thrive.

What we offer

Soul Shine Feelings
Our monthly Feelings Group is held at House of Annetta on the first Saturday of every month. This is a process group, where we learn about our feelings through shared experience.
This is a free session, but booking via Eventbrite is essential, as we only have capacity for 12 people.

Soul Shine Workshops
Our workshops are varied and can be tailored to meet your specific needs. Some of our workshops include:
-
Shared Reading: Using literature as a way to connect and talk about feelings.
-
Our Codependent Patterns: Understanding codependency and how to have more authentic communication.
-
What Stories Do We Tell Ourselves?: Using creativity to explore the stories we tell ourselves about ourselves — and learning how to rewrite them.

Soul Shine 1-1 Coaching
We also offer dedicated 1:1 coaching for people struggling with addiction, codependency, loneliness, neurodivergence, or those who aren’t sure why they’re struggling.
Our coaching is a minimum of 5 hours per week, so we can build trust, commitment, and courage together. It is person-centred, meaning we work with what’s best for you.
Soul Shine Training

We offer training to services, companies, and groups to support them in how to engage with people they may consider "hard to engage." We understand that not everyone fits the mold that society expects of them, and as a result, some people may exclude themselves before they are excluded.
It’s important that we learn to see the similarities we share with others, rather than focusing on our differences. Soul Shine Collective training supports you in learning how to celebrate people’s differences, seek identification with others, and build resilient communication skills that foster connection and support.
Soul Shine Collective specialises in supporting LGBTQIA+ people, neurodivergent individuals, those with refugee experience, young people, and those with care experience.
