Welcome to Soul Shine Collectives first newsletter!
Soul Shine Collective CIC has been active for 5 months now! Since July we have delivered 6 free feelings groups. We delivered our first group in the Horse Hospital and since then we have been delivering our groups at House of Annetta. We have had 45 attendees since starting! We have been meeting every first Saturday of the month at 230pm. We have got some regular attendees and some newbies every month! House of Annetta has been such an amazing venue and we are so grateful to them for allowing us to have our groups there. House of Annetta is filled with wholesome & brave energy that aligns with Soul Shine Collective! Due to it being so chilly there during the winter months, House Of Annetta will be closing after our next group on 06.12.25 until April. So we will be bringing our Soulshine collective feelings group to the Brady Art’s Centre from January until April. We choose our venues carefully. We want our spaces to also reflect the community, we want our venues to support its community and if possible have history. In other news!
We have started delivering relationship groups at BOB - Build Beyond Belief. Banana delivered Soul Shine Collective's first group 2 weeks ago. It was a wonderful experience. We as a group came up with guidelines for the group to keep the group safe and one of the members suggested we called the guidelines a group PACT! Which we loved. The pact included openmindedness, being brave and encouraging each other to challenge one another. As a community it's so important we create these pacts, for so long we follow ‘rules’ we have not agreed on nor understand why they are there. We are doing things differently, we want everyone to be included, we want equality to be an action not just a word. We also asked the group what they want to know, discuss and learn about relationships so we will be running relationship groups based on these requests, such as transitioning from services to the professional world, saying no, conflict and we will be delivering
these groups combined with poetry and theatre!
